Building in Progess

steelwork
Steelwork Started

Progress is updated on the building page on the show website

Point Show – Building Work Begins

Show Building being unloaded

Work started this week on the a new building for the Point Show.
After the 2019 Point show the large marquee suffered wind damage before it could be packed away. Rather than investing in a new marquee the Point Agricultural Society decided to build a suitable storage shed that could be used to house the indoor exhibit sections on show day. Through the COVID epidemic the committee were busy planning and establishing funding for the project. The society was successful in obtaining Crown Estate Funding and have also been assisted by local grazings committees. The picture shows the steel building, supplied by Shufflebottom being unloaded on the show site. Duncan Mackays will be overseeing the construction of the building.

Hopefully the building may be ready for use for the Point Show on 9th of July.
